02. Cleansing Shadows
SYNOPSIS
Cleansing Shadows is an interactive projection installation inspired by the Naxi Chu Hui (purification) ritual. The work draws from Dongba scriptures that describe Hui (impurities) that manifest as natural disasters when humans disrupt the balance with nature.
The installation reactivates endangered cultural memory—language, myth, and ecological belief—through contemporary interaction.
